1960 April 3 - A little closer in on this precious photograph. I hope someday I can have some of these professionally repaired from their fire damage. I have Sharon my one arm, John has her by the other. No matter what the horrors were of my childhood, there were incredibly powerful positive experiences also. This photograph captures one of them -- Even if we could somehow be given a magical choice to do so, how would anyone ever trade away the bad of their childhood if it meant also losing everything of value, too? I would not make that trade. I would not choose to lose even a single moment of body memory of an experience like this one.
